Regina was born on September 7th, 1851 in Barrio de Triana, Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes and her baptism took place on September 14th, 1851 in El Sargario,Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes conducted by Father D. Juan Avila.1   Her godfather was Juan Duron and her godmother was Juana Duron. Regina's father was Liberato Delgado and her mother was Mariana de Salas.  Her paternal grandparents are Francisco Delgado and Maria Dolores Medina (Delgado); her maternal grandparents were Josef Rafael de Zalas (Gomez) and Maria Diega Padilla (Aguiree). She had a brother and four sisters, named Jose Donaciano, Ma. Bartola, Ma. Teresa, Ma. Atilana and Ma. Pilar.  She was the second youngest of the six children.
