Ma. Gabina Medina Macias

Ma. Gabina was born on February 19th, 1854 in Barrio de Triana, Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes and her baptism took place on February 22nd, 1854 in El Sagrario, Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes, Mexico conducted by Father Abundio Fernandez.¹   Her godfather was Ignacio Medina and her godmother was Juliana Medina.

Ma. Gabina's father was Camilo Medina and her mother was Ma. Juana Petra Macias (Lopez).  Her paternal grandparents are Jose Medina and Micaela Marquez (Medina); her maternal grandparents were George Macias and Catarina Lopez (Macias). She had two brothers and two sisters, named Martin, Francisco, Ma. Carmen and Herculana.  She was the oldest of the five children.
