Josse's father is Jose Serapio Ortega and his mother is Maria Buenaventura Guerrero (Ortega).  His maternal grandparents are Georgue Guerrero and Maria Manuela Silva (Guerrero). He had a brother and four sisters, named Jose , Maria, Maria, Maria and Juana.  He was the third youngest of the six children.  Josse is no longer alive.
