Antonio was born on May 27th, 1864 in Malpaso de Villanueva, Zacatecas, Mexico and his baptism took place there on May 27th, 1864.^1 2

Antonio's father was Atanacio Ramirez and his mother was Deonicia Medellin. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Gregorio, Jose Maria, Jesus Antonio, Ma. Estanislao, Florentina, Matiana Epefania, Maria Romana and Petra.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.
